Max and Debbie
HOW IT ALL STARTED

The game of pickleball made its entrance into Navarro County after Max and Debbie Taylor were introduced to the sport in 2018 by their longtime “tennis friends,” Jack and Cindy Dierkes of Cincinnati.

At first, the Taylors adapted their clay tennis court into a pickleball court and quickly got several of their tennis friends hooked on this fast-paced game.

As more and more people wanted invitations to play pickleball at Taylorosa Ranch, Max and Debbie decided it was time to expand. The original tennis court was transformed into four concrete pickleball courts. However, rain and wind often limited the number of matches that could be played, so the Taylors moved their travel trailer outside under an awning and converted the RV building into the first indoor pickleball court in Navarro County.

Growing the Taylorosa
Pickleball Community

As the number of “addicted” pickleball players grew to more than 30 people, the Taylors established the Taylorosa Pickleball Club, where players could reserve time on four outdoor courts and one indoor court.

That number quickly grew to more than 100 players. To meet the growing demand, the Taylors developed a new facility featuring four indoor courts and five outdoor courts (in Phase Two) located across the street from Corsicana High School.

Taylorosa Pickleball Club is a member-focused facility offering unlimited court access for a nominal monthly membership fee. For players who prefer more flexibility, we also welcome guests through our convenient “Play As You Go” credit card option.

Our club is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, giving members and guests the freedom to play on their schedule.

More Than Just a Game

Our mission is to promote pickleball throughout Navarro County by introducing people to a sport that is easy to learn, incredibly fun, and highly addictive to play.

A special mission at the Taylorosa Pickleball Club is to provide youth with free memberships and promote competition with Christian principles.

Beyond being a great source of exercise, pickleball brings people together, fuels friendly competition, and promotes fellowship with our new pickleball friends!

Whether you’re a beginner picking up a paddle for the first time or an experienced player looking for your next match, the Taylorosa Pickleball Club is a place to play, compete, and connect.
